Saying the Firestorm is overstable is an understatement.
This disc is the definition of WIND MANAGEMENT.
Is the Firestorm for beginners?
No. No it is NOT.
If you can’t throw a Destroyer 300 ft, then why would you pick up a SPEED 14 disc and think you can do the same?
To flex?
The only thing you’ll be flexing is your arm muscle out of socket trying to get this disc to fly the way its’ meant to.
If you’re a beginner and you REALLY want a headwind champion, I’d suggest a lower speed rated disc like the Innova Firebird.

Jokes aside, the Firestorm is the disc you want in windy conditions (if you can handle the speed).
If you need something to show off to your friends at your next C-Tier, this is the disc you should buy.
It only comes in Champion plastic, so you are out of luck trying to snag this in Star or Gstar.

Final Thoughts
This is an advanced disc.
And yes, you can probably find it in a really cool ‘limited edition’ collectors stamp….if that’s your thing.
If you’re new to disc golf, the Firestorm will be about as useful as the Polecat.
Those are my thoughts, not yours.
